Deductible are what you pay before any benefits kick in, typically found on ACA or catastrophic plans.
PPO Networks let you go in and out of network and still receive benefits. They provide the highest repricing and the largest network.
HMO Networks keep you restricted to your state and specific doctors/hospitals your insurance provides you with.
Short term plans are like gap insurance, they are good when you only need it for a couple of months such as when you're in between jobs.

ACA plans are goof for people with major health conditions or below a certain income tax bracket. They offer subsidies and guaranteed issued plans if you have a qualifying event or are within the open enrollment period.
Private health insurance is for the elite. They only accept healthy people. But they can give you a lot stronger and cheaper coverage. These plans are good for Self employed people, and people that travel or change job contracts a lot.
